Reflections on this site are rooted in the Bhagavad Gita, the principal Upanishads (including Katha, Isha, Mandukya, Chandogya, Mundaka, and Brihadaranyaka), the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali, and, where relevant, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and Vedantic commentary.
[Owner to list the specific published translations and editions used as reference — for example, a named English translation of the Gita or the Yoga Sutras — so each can be credited accurately.]
Sanskrit terms rarely have a single, exact English equivalent. Words like dharma, karma, and atman carry layers of meaning that any translation necessarily narrows. Where a reflection offers a translation or paraphrase, it is an interpretive rendering intended to be readable, not a scholarly critical edition.
Where we are not confident of an exact verse number or precise wording, we say so rather than presenting a guess as certain. If you are doing serious textual study, please consult a scholarly critical edition alongside anything you read here.
[Owner to list any specific commentators or traditions (e.g. Advaita Vedanta readings, a particular translator's introductions) that meaningfully shape how these texts are presented here, if any.]
