Patanjali begins with the problem almost everyone has: a mind that won't settle. Over seven days, this path takes one sutra at a time, with one question and one simple practice. Nothing here needs special equipment or experience, only a few quiet minutes and some honesty.
Day 1: What yoga is (Yoga Sutras 1.1–1.2) — If yoga is the stilling of the mind's movements, what are the movements that fill your mind most?
Day 2: The one who watches (Yoga Sutras 1.3–1.4) — When you are angry or anxious, is there any part of you that notices it?
Day 3: Practice and letting go (Yoga Sutras 1.12) — What do you need to practise more, and what do you need to let go of?
Day 4: Long, unbroken, sincere (Yoga Sutras 1.14) — What has stopped your practice before: time, doubt, or losing heart?
Day 5: Four attitudes (Yoga Sutras 1.33) — Whom do you find it hardest to meet with friendliness, compassion, gladness, or calm?
